Enable Email Notifications (Draft)

Where it lives

In Settings, pick the Notifications tab. Find the Email Notifications section.

Quick setup with Gmail or Outlook

Click Gmail or Outlook to pre-fill SMTP host, port, and STARTTLS. Then enter your sending email and an app password. Gmail and Outlook both require an app password (not your account password) when 2FA is enabled.

Manual SMTP setup

  • From Address. The address PrinterMon sends as. Use a real sending mailbox, not noreply@.
  • SMTP Host. Your provider's host (e.g. smtp.gmail.com).
  • SMTP Port. 587 for STARTTLS, 465 for implicit TLS, 25 unencrypted (avoid).
  • Username. Usually the From Address. Check provider docs.
  • App Password. The provider-issued credential.
  • Use STARTTLS. On for port 587, off for port 465.

Test and save

Add at least one recipient in the recipients list, then click Test Email. PrinterMon sends a test message and reports success or the SMTP error. Save when the test passes.
