Terms of Service

Last updated: April 7, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the PrinterMon website (printermon.com), the PrinterMon desktop application, and any related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

PrinterMon is a DBA of Corpus Obscura, registered in the State of Florida ("we", "us", "our"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

2. Accounts

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
  • One person or organization may not maintain multiple free accounts to circumvent plan limits.

3. The Service

Free Tier

The core PrinterMon application is free to use for personal and commercial purposes. The free tier includes dashboard access, file management, filament tracking, notifications, and camera feeds for up to 10 printers. The free tier is not a trial — it is the full product within the stated limits.

Paid Add-Ons

Additional features (extra nodes, expanded printer limits, additional users, enterprise support) are available as paid monthly or yearly subscriptions. These are billed through Stripe. Feature entitlements are tied to your account and active subscriptions.

Desktop Application

The PrinterMon application runs locally on your hardware. We do not have access to your local printers, files, or network unless you explicitly connect to our cloud sync service. The application communicates with printermon.com for authentication, feature entitlements, and optional data synchronization.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

  • Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or yearly basis through Stripe.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
  • You can cancel at any time from your account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then.
  • We do not offer partial-month refunds for cancellations mid-cycle.
  • Price changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance and take effect at the next renewal.
  • Failed payments will result in a grace period. If payment is not resolved, the subscription will be suspended and associated features will be deactivated.

5. Refunds

  • Yearly subscriptions may be refunded within 14 days of initial purchase if no significant usage has occurred.
  • Monthly subscriptions are not eligible for refunds, as you can cancel at any time before renewal.
  • Refunds for service issues or billing errors are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us through our contact form.
  • Merchandise purchases fulfilled by Printify are subject to Printify's return and refund policies.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our infrastructure.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service or its components.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service.
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without our written permission.
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service or access to it.
  • Submit false, misleading, or malicious content through forms or the API.
  • Use the Service to send spam, phishing, or unsolicited communications.
  • Perform automated scanning, probing, or enumeration of server files, directories, or configurations.

7. Intellectual Property

  • Our property: The PrinterMon software, website, branding, documentation, and all related code and content are owned by PrinterMon and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights.
  • Your data: You retain ownership of all data you upload, create, or store through the Service (print files, configurations, reports). We claim no ownership over your content.
  • Feedback: If you submit feature requests, bug reports, or other suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to use that feedback to improve the Service.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
  • The Service will be compatible with all printers, firmware versions, or hardware configurations.
  • Any data transmitted through the Service will be accurate or complete.
  • Defects will be corrected within any specific timeframe.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PRINTERMON SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Loss of profits, revenue, or data.
  • Damage to printers, hardware, or printed objects.
  • Failed or interrupted print jobs.
  • Costs of substitute goods or services.
  • Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data.

PrinterMon controls and monitors 3D printers, which involve moving parts, high temperatures, and automated operations. You acknowledge that:

  • You are solely responsible for the safe operation of your equipment.
  • The Service is a management tool, not a safety device.
  • You should never leave printers unattended based solely on software monitoring.
  • We are not liable for any damage, injury, or loss resulting from printer operation, whether or not the Service was involved.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PrinterMon from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

11. Termination

  • You may close your account at any time by contacting us.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without notice depending on severity.
  • Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Active subscriptions will not be renewed.
  • Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnification, dispute resolution) will survive.

12. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. For material changes, we will notify registered users by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, conducted in English.

You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis. Class actions and class arbitrations are not permitted.

15. Miscellaneous

  • Entire agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and PrinterMon.
  • Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
  • Waiver: Our failure to enforce a provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
  • Assignment: You may not assign your rights under these Terms. We may assign ours in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
