Manage Filament (Draft)
Add a filament spool
On the dashboard, click Add Filament. The Add Filament Spool dialog opens.
Fill in the spool details
- Name. Optional. Lets you label specific spools (e.g. My Red PLA, Workshop Black PETG).
- Type. Required. Material category (PLA, PETG, ABS, etc.).
- Color / Color (Hex). Sets the swatch in printer slots and on the dashboard.
- Diameter. 1.75mm or 2.85mm.
- Weight. Spool size (1kg default).
- Full Spools / Partial Spools. Inventory count.
- Low Stock Alert. Notify when total spools drops to this number.
- Location / Manufacturer / Model. Optional metadata for inventory.
Save and assign to a printer slot
Click Save. The spool appears in the filament inventory. To assign it to a printer slot, click the empty slot under that printer's row on the dashboard and pick the spool.
